Meet the 2025 picks for our Community Grant Program.
Devinci, The Movement, and its partners are proud to introduce the three organizations selected for the 2025 Community Grant Program.
Once again this season, our goal was to support cycling clubs, trail associations, and community-driven bike initiatives with financial assistance to help bring development projects to life, for 2025 and beyond.
This year, we received over 300 applications. It was incredibly inspiring to discover the wide range of passionate projects submitted by communities. While we’d love to support each and every one, our panel of Movement pro athletes faced the tough task of selecting just three.
LB CYCLE
LAC-BEAUPORT, QC
Founded in 2014, LB CYCLE is a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop and maintain the mountain bike trail network in Lac-Beauport, promote the sport, encourage community engagement, and share its expertise with other similar groups.
Since its creation, the organization has built 12 trails and fostered a strong sense of belonging around its efforts. With over 3,000 engaged members on social media and a reach that extends beyond the local area, LB CYCLE plays an active role in supporting the growth of mountain biking in Québec.
A pioneer in the development of enduro trails as early as 2014, LB CYCLE has contributed significantly to the rising popularity of the discipline. Today, Lac-Beauport welcomes a steady stream of cyclists and tourists throughout the summer season, thanks to the group’s vision and dedication.
OUR CONTRIBUTION
Devinci is proud to support the THE GROMS project, which aims to shape the future of the sport by introducing the next generation of diggers at an early age. This two-year initiative includes the construction of a new pumptrack and a short trail designed specifically for kids. These facilities will give families in the area free access to a safe, welcoming environment where children can discover the joy of biking.
The Cowichan Trail Stewardship Society is an incorporated nonprofit organization and registered charity based out of the Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island. It was founded in 2013 by a small group of passionate trail users that recognized the great potential and need for trail management in the North Cowichan Municipal Forest Reserve. Today, CTSS has an excellent working relationship with the Municipality of North Cowichan and works to develop and maintain the trails of Mt. Tzouhalem, Maple Mountain and Mount Prevost.
It is the goal of the society to construct, maintain and advocate for hiking and mountain biking trails that are sustainable from an economic, environment and social point of view. Beyond that, CTSS works to enhance the community through volunteer trail days, group rides and hikes, fiver races and more.
OUR CONTRIBUTION
Devinci will help CTSS to bring some MTB trails in the Cowichan Valley to meet Kootenay Adaptive Trail Standards. This means making small changes to existing trails to make them inclusive to riders with disabilities that prevent them from riding traditional 2 wheel bikes. They have worked with adaptive riders to get feedback on the work done and guidance on what is needed. Most of the work involves widening bridges, widening bench cuts and ensuring that the trail is free from large rocks/roots that could tip an adaptive bike.
Incorporated as a non-profit in 2002, the Hydrocut Trails Committee has worked in partnership with local governments, private landowners, businesses, and nonprofits to build and maintain free access to over 35 km of mountain biking trails at The Hydrocut. The Hydrocut consists of a wide range of trails, but is renowned for its modern style flow trails, with well-maintained trail surfaces, excellent signage, and optional challenging features.
The Hydrocut is focused on mountain biking, with over 95% of the trails being singletrack. The terrain at the Hydrocut is suitable for a wide range of riders, allowing new riders to learn the fundamentals of the sport, and also providing challenging features and trails that will excite even the most veteran of riders. The overall vision for The Hydrocut is to develop a system of trails that is unparalleled in Southern Ontario. We maintain trails for immediate use, and steward them so that future generations will have access. Stewardship agreements with the Region of Waterloo and several private landowners ensure a long-term, sustainable future, including trail development to meet the evolving needs of all users.
OUR CONTRIBUTION
Funding from Devinci will help The Hydrocut to develop new high-excitement, but entry-level trails that will provide a more accessible entry point for new riders into our trail system. With the increase of new riders, and the growing prominence as a major riding destination within Southern Ontario, The Hydrocut will be able to continue to develop trails that allow new cyclists of all ages to grow their skills.
Thanks to all the amazing organizations, clubs, and volunteers who took the time to apply in 2025. The program will reopen for 2026 next spring, so keep an eye out.
This program is made possible through the support of key industry partners who share our vision: supporting the roots that grow the core of the sport. Devinci is proud to collaborate with Maxxis, Abus, Fox, Race Face, Guru Energy, SDG Components, Maxima Racing Oils, and Ride Concepts. Thanks to these partnerships, Devinci’s Community Grant Program, and the larger Movement it’s part of, has the resources to help bring something meaningful to life in your communities.
Follow us on social media or keep an eye on the program page to know when the applications will be re-opening.
