What's an electric assist mountain bike?
An electric mountain bike, sometimes called an e-MTB, is a mountain bike equipped with an integrated electric system, consisting of a motor and a battery, that provides cyclists with pedal-assist assistance. This technology improves climbs, extends riding distances, and adapts to various terrains, offering a versatile mountain biking experience accessible to cyclists of all skill levels.
How does an electric assist mountain bike work?
It's very simple! All you have to do is pedal to activate the assistance of the electric system. This additional push is transmitted directly through the crank arms, which in turn transfers power to the rear wheel, providing you with this propulsion effect.
