The Principality of Monaco has a wonderful new feature: 300 self-service electric pedal-assist bikes. Monaco is the first city – and Principality – to offer its population a 100% electric bike-share system.
Devinci couldn’t be prouder to share its expertise and passion for cycling with these innovative, structuring and solution-orientated projects tackling the issue of sustainable mobility. Since partnering with PBSC Urban Solutions, more than 80 000 bicycles – all of them made in Saguenay, Quebec – are riding the streets in 35 cities across the world.
With its Smart City initiative, the Principality of Monaco leads by example in the promotion of carbon-free mobility.
The Smart City program was already offering a bike-sharing system, but now its entire fleet will be renewed with the MonaBike. New awesome functionalities add to the prestige of the service, such as the valet station option that will be deployed during the Formula 1 Grand Prix and other prestigious events.
Devinci wanted to mark the occasion in its own way. Last Friday, during the official launch, an electric tandem bicycle sporting the Monabike colours was offered to the Sovereign Prince of Monaco, Albert II. Let’s say being a bike builder helps when you want to make outstanding gifts!
