Race Ready
Devinci Global Racing's Wilson Carbon | In 2011 Devinci starts from scratch a new version of Wilson that uses a new aluminum frame, featuring Split Pivot rear suspension developed by Dave Weagle guru. The fact that it uses carbon seatstays already gave us a hint about the direction to take. In April, we fall by chance at a show on a version with carbon front triangle ... But government secret, no way to release the news! The Wilson Carbon finally made an official release in Crankworx Canadian Open and will be used by the team during the remainder of the season down. Only the chainstays are aluminum, as these are a very vulnerable to the impacts and that there is no benefit Devinci according to use carbon here. The bonus is that this carbon version which allowed Smith to win his first World Cup is not a prototype and it 100% stock - even geometry - available for 2013. Weight weenies are now to downhill, that is now a fact. Today a racing machine goes below 17 kg, thanks in part to the use of carbon for the frame. This is one of the reasons why the Canadian brand uses the fiber, which allows the Wilson SL with Fox DHX RC4 rear shock, fender, seat clamp and rear legs to show only 4260 g. Especially carbon allows to optimize the ratio weight / stiffness / strength of the frame. For proof, Devinci lifetime warranty all carbon frames! The only parameter that differs between the bike and Smith's Wilson SL is the paint. Team riders enjoying a personal painting with the Canada's color scheme.
