Optimum C6 Carbon
Monocoque Road Frame
Since
its inception, the Cx frame has been cited by Bicycling
and Vélomag magazines. Comments from all cyclists
who have ridden on Cx frames are unanimously eloquent.
The Optimum C6 frame integrates leading-edge carbon
monocoque manufacturing techniques to the know-how of
the Devinci Research & Development division. All
your senses will be put to the test when riding this
thoroughbred bike. The modern design combines beauty,
stiffness, and flexibility, to let you appreciate every
minute in the saddle. This frame was designed using
data from the new instrumented road bike; we optimised
the form and number of carbon layers as a function of
frame size. This frame has recently passed with ease
the highest level of testing by EFBe of Germany (www.EFBe.de).

Frame with Carbon Stays
For
2006, we have completely rethought our aluminium-carbon
frame. No detail was left untouched to establish new beauty
and performance standards. We fine-tuned the frame tubes
to achieve the highest standard yet: Optimum 2 tubes are
in effect lighter and more resistant to fatigue than those
used for the first generation of Optimum frames. This
new frame is equipped with the same dished carbon struts
as used on the Cx frames. We have become experts in the
bonding of aluminium and carbon by using superior quality
epoxy and aluminium joints with special grooves that increase
the contact area. This bonding technique is exclusive
to Devinci, and shows how far we will go to offer you
the best products possible. Numerous manufacturing details
make this frame unique, which offers, without a doubt,
the best price / performance ratio.

Frame
This
100% aluminium frame is constructed with Optimum 2 tubes.
These aluminium 6061 tubes are the result of 6 manufacturing
stages aiming to vary the walls, section, and shape, in
order to achieve optimum resistance and weight. The main
characteristics of Optimum 2 tubes are the flared seat
tube and diagonal tube joining the crank casing. This
new crank casing junction is so resistant to lateral movement
that any pedal pressure is transformed into forward energy.
Thanks to our new testing laboratory, we have made great
progress in prolonging the fatigue life of the frame;
no other company in the world spends so much on fatigue
research. The geometry of the frame makes it adaptable
to all body types and is analysed so as to reach subtle
balance between stability and the nervous energy of the
rider. With this frame, Devinci combines lightness and
unequalled performance, even if your budget is limited.
