Eli Lieberman - Team Mechanic
Eli has been an avid Devinci supporter for over 6 years and has ridden many generations of the Wilson since it was first produced. He worked as a full time mechanic for over 7 years at Silent Sports, making him a natural addition to the team. The knowledge he carries to each race will be very valuable to this young team. Don't hesitate to stop by the Silent Devinci pits for free service on your Devinci or for any mechanical problems!

Tom Kakamousiac - Pro/Élite
At the age of 21, Tom shows unparalled enthusiasm towards the sport of DH racing and is consciously involved in the mountain biking community across the GTA. 2008 was his first year racing in the pro/elite ranks. With his consistent style Tom stepped onto a few podiums and finished 2nd in the provincial overall. Tom raced the Orangeville indoor 4x series this winter in pro men winning round 7 and finishing 3rd overall. In 2009, Tom will be based out of Bromont, QC training hard for a strong National ranking.

Kyle Lockyer - Pro/Élite
Kyle is the quiet leader on the team, even though he is also only 20 years of age. Kyle has been racing since he was 15, having loads of success as a cadet and junior racer. He was selected as a carded member of the provincial team after finishing 2nd in the provincial overall back-to-back years as a junior. In his first year in the Pro/ elite ranks, he managed to win the 2nd Provincial round over series veteran Drew Pautler (Primary Racing), before getting injured later in the season.
Harold Woolnough - Pro/Élite
Harold made the step into the Pro/ elite ranks partway into the 2008 season after decisively winning the first National round racing in the expert class. Harold managed to step onto a few elite podiums in the provincial series finishing 4th in the provincial overall. He raced indoor 4x this winter making the main event at all the Orangeville 4x races before moving out to BC in January. He spent the winter studying and training in Vancouver where he continued to race the Pipeline 4x.

Alistair Pimlott - Junior Expert
Alistair comes to the team as a second year junior expert looking for top provincial results backed by strong National results. Alistair upgraded from junior sport to junior expert partway through 2008 and finished his season with a 4th place finish at the Provincial Championships held at Camp Fortune.

Nick Kesik - Cadet/ Development Team
Nick is the youngest member of the team at only 15 years of age. Nick is a talented street rider and his size allows him to dominate his age group. Nick races 4x and downhill. Highlights include a 2nd place finish at the Toronto International Bike Show 4x race. He started his 2009 DH season with a 2nd place finish at the Ontario Cup #1 with a time that placed him 10th in pro men!

Kevin Norris - Pro/Élite / Development Team
Kevin is racing his first year in the pro/elite ranks after many years of racing DH. Kevin's talent is undeniable, he has stepped onto numerous senior expert podiums. He is spending the summer in Bromont working on his race craft looking for top results in the provincial overall.

Alex Cooke - Junior Expert/ Development Team
Alex has just moved up to the junior expert ranks for 2009. Alex looks to gain experience and build his confidence as he travels with the team in 2009.

latest news

July 18th-19th: National Championship, Massif du Sud. In the Junior expert category, Alistair Pimlott finished 10th and Alex Cooke 25th. As for Tom Kakamousiac, in the Senior Elite category, he finished in the 33rd spot.

July 12th, 2009:DH#5 Blue Mountain. Tom chose to participate in 3 events this weekend. Tom placed 3rd in the long and gruelling Provincial Championship Super D race. He went onto place 2nd in the hardtail category in Sundays DH race. Looking to step onto all 3 podiums, Tom had no energy left in his legs for the main event. Tom finished 6th in the Pro DH and slipped back into 4th in the provincial overall ranking after a physically demanding showing from him this weekend. Alistair crashed hard and fast in his race run but managed to get back on the bike to finish in 3rd. Incredibly he was 2 seconds behind the winner. Alistair remains in 2nd in the junior provincial ranking, but has closed the gap with his biggest competitor, now only 3 points ahead.

July 4th-5th, 2009: Canada Cup, Bromont/4x National Championship. The infamous Bromont Cycling Center played host to Canada’s second National DH round and the 4x National Championship this past weekend in Québec. Last years WC tracks were used allowing the trail crew to re-enforce them with cement and wood wherever necessary. Unfortunately the torrential rain resulted in massive holes and made it tough for the best to make it down without a crash. It was 50/50 for Silent Devinci Racing. Kyle dislocated his shoulder having to roll down the rest of the hill and Alistair sent himself over the bars managing to get back up for 17th /38 in Junior Expert (61st/120 with the Elites). Tom managed to hold on for 38th and Nick Kesik squeezed into 9th /38 for a top 10 in Cadet.

June 28th, 2009: DH#4 Camps Fortune. The much anticipated Camp Fortune venue did not disappoint. The track was fast and rough with some big lines making for some excellent racing. Silent Devinci's Tom finished in 10th moving him into the 2nd spot in the overall for now. Kyle finished a respectable 13th with a crash right near the finish line. Alistair continues his spectacular season with another 2nd place finish behind a speedy frenchmen. Alistair closes the gap with series leader Brad Zdriluk who crashed in his run. Nick Kesik finished in 6th and maintains second place in the provincial overall. The team currently holds the 2nd position in the provincial overall in Cadet, Junior Expert and Elite!

June 14th, 2009: DH#3 Kelso. Nick Kesik finished 2nd in Cadet (15-16) and currently sits 2nd in the provincial overall standings. Alistair Pimlott finished 3rd in Junior Expert and sits 2nd in the provincial overall. Tom Kakamousiac and Kyle Lockyer finished 4th and 5th in Pro putting Tom in 3rd in the provincial overall.

May 23rd and 24th, 2009: Canada Cup, Mont Tremblant. Only 3 of the 8 membres of the Devinci/Silent Sports team where present at the Canada Cup in Mont Tremblant. Tom Kakamousiac finished 54th, Alistair Pimlott finished 59em while Kyle Lockyer finished 68e.

May 17th, 2009: DH#2 Heights of Horseshoe. The boys were back at it again at the second stop of provincial circuit. Nick once again put up a great time in cadet (15-16) finishing 4th, not even a full second off 2nd place. Nick is currently top 3 in the cadet provincial overall. Our pro men struggled come race run, as the mud bog shot Kyle wildly of the back of his bike and Tom making some crucial mistakes right out of the gate. Both managed to place top 10 for some points. Alistair, racing junior expert, faired well on the longer track placing 2nd in junior expert. He is now also sitting in the top 3 in the junior provincial overall. Harold is recovering from wrist surgery last week and sadly the team suffered another casualty on the weekend. Kevin will likely miss the rest of the season, keep your head up buddy!

May 3rd, 2009: DH#1 Kelso. The Silent Sports Devinci team participated to its first race of the season, the DH #1 Kelso. The results were quite satisfying for the team. Nick Kesik on the development placed 2nd in Cadet, with a time good enough for 2nd in Junior Expert and 10th in Pro! Tom Kakamousias was able to overcome a early season shoulder injury for a 5th place in Pro. The team was also able to get 5th and 7th place in the Junior Experts.
